The Arizona Disc Golf Club is proud to present the Seventeenth Annual Southwest Cactus Series! Please familiarize yourself with the following basic rules if you plan to compete for series standings: All dates are subject to change without notice. Please call the AZDGC two weeks prior to an event to confirm the dates- club info line: 480-946-9509. Of course, you can also stop back here for the most current information on all the series tourneys. The Point format will be the same as the last few years. Click here for details.  Note, the Memorial will NOT be Cactus Series event this year. You must be a current Arizona Disc Golf Club member at the time of the tournament to earn Cactus Series points. Points will be updated after the cactus series fees are received by the AZDGC. You must compete in (and finish) at least six events to qualify. If you compete in more than six events, your top six finishes are used, so increase your chances and play in them all! $3 from each Cactus Series Tournament participant is deducted from the entry and put towards the end of series payout. Final Cactus Series payout is top half of qualifying competitors in the amateur divisions. The payout for the Professional division(s) is paid entry to San Diego team golf for the top 8 to 10 qualifying competitors depending upon the number of "Captain's Choice" picks. Qualifying for the San Diego team tournament will be based on Cactus Series Results from the Pro Open division(s) with up to two "Captain's Choice" exceptions. Points earned in one division will not transfer to another division mid year. But remember, moving up will improve your game! ie: If you move up from interemediate to advanced, your points earned in the int div would  not carry over into the adv div. Get a $5 discount on Cactus Series events by joining the Arizona Disc Golf Club (no discount for The Memorial). If you are taking the $5 discount when registering for a cactus series event, please be sure to relinquish your tag challenge card at the tournament check-in or you may be charged the $5 (discount may be rescinded). If you leave and event prior to the distribution of the challenge cards, it is your responsibility to contact the TD to get your challenge card. Amateur divisions will be according to the new PDGA format.  Join the PDGA, get your rating, so you know you're playing in the correct division.
